How are the tables balanced on a Multi Table Tournament?
Table balancing is when a player is moved from one table to another during a tournament. When a hand ends at a table, a check is made to determine if the number of players is unbalanced. Results can be:
- The current table has more than one player over the average player count on all tables.
- Enough players have dropped out of tournament, and the remaining players can fit onto fewer tables. If either of these checks is positive players are moved off the table.
- If a breakdown is not required then the tournament moves as many players as necessary to bring the table’s player count down to the average player count.
- On a breakdown the tournament moves all players out of the table and closes the table.
In either case the redistribution process fills the tables in random order up to average player count.
Players are removed from the position farthest from the dealer position, to the right of the dealer-counter clockwise, and players are placed in the new table farthest from dealer position, to the right of the dealer-counter clockwise.
A free seat for players on the table is located starting at the position before the dealer moving counter clockwise. These are the positions that receive the blinds in the last order. Note, that if a player is placed between the BB and dealer then they do not pay the SB, but instead skip a hand or two until the dealer button passes over them.
For example: A tournament has three tables left - table A with 8 players, table B with 9 players and table C with 10 players. The average number of players per table is 9. Therefore the player sitting on the right of the dealer in table C will be moved to table A and placed to the first available seat on the right hand of the dealer.
How do I change my bet during a game?
In order to go all in or raise when it becomes your turn to bet, a slide bar will appear above the standard betting boxes. You will need to click on the bar to the left and drag it across to the right if you wish to increase your bet. If you drag all the way along then you will be 'all in'; if you drag part way across you will bet that amount.
Can I play more than one table at a time?
The maximum number of tables that may be played is 16 when in top view mode or mini view. Players can choose between standard size table and mini tables. The mini table option not only provides players with substantially smaller tables but also automatically tiles up to four open tables on the player’s screen.
What is a rebuy/add-on tournament?
A rebuy tournament is one that allows you to purchase additional chips within the specified rebuy period, you can rebuy if you bust out or have a chip stack less than or equal to your initial starting stack amount.
To rebuy click the 'rebuy' button on the table. Once you select this, a pop-up appears informing that you will receive your rebuy amount at the beginning of the next hand. Please note, you will receive your rebuy regardless of the outcome of the previous hand.
If you run out of chips completely during the rebuy period, you can rebuy when the pop-up box appears. You are unable to rebuy if you have more chips than your initial starting stack (The rebuy button will be disabled).
Unless otherwise stated, our rebuy tournaments also include an 'add-on' option that allows you to purchase additional chips at the end of the rebuy period. This is available to all players still in the tournament regardless of their chip stack size.
Why are there so many people sitting out in the tournament I am playing?
The Sit Out feature was developed for people who genuinely need to leave their computer due to unforeseen circumstances whilst playing at a tournament. When sitting out a player will automatically post blinds on their turn and automatically be folded when they are not in the big blind position. If they are on the big blind and faced with a pre-flop raise their hand again will automatically be folded. We assure you that no player benefits from sitting out for an entire tournament. Unfortunately, freerolls suffer a lot from players who log out just before being eliminated. Our suggestion is that you join a pot with players who are sitting out, make a raise and their hand will automatically be folded and eventually they will be blinded away.
What is a satellite tournament?
A satellite tournament is one where the winners gain free entry into another (larger) tournament. These work by the total buy-in costs of the smaller tournament covering that of the larger tournament. E.g. If the buy-in for the larger tournament is $200, a 10 seater satellite would have a buy-in of $20 to cover the larger tournament ($20 x 10 = $200).

We offer regular promotions and special events. For details of our current offerings please click here. Each one of our promotions have different terms and conditions, please examine all the rules of the promotion you are entering.

We have dedicated a page to RNG to help you understand more. To view please click here.
What measures do you take against people who are being rude and offensive?
It depends on the severity of the incident, but usually after the first offence, a player will be given a warning by one of our hosts. Repeat offenders will be punished with the suspension or permanent loss of a player chat privileges. In severe cases players may be banned from using the poker room altogether. The best way to avoid confrontational situations that may result in a chat suspension or ban is to treat all your fellow players with respect and be polite at all times.
How do you prevent against cheating and collusion?
Our poker site employs a combination of automated and human monitoring tools to identify and prevent any irregular play patterns or incidences of collusion between players, thus ensuring fair gaming and a pleasant, honest poker environment. Advanced algorithms designed by veteran poker professionals and industry experts are set to trigger system events should any such patterns be identified; all gaming activity - every card, hand, move, win, loss - is recorded by the system to aid investigation.
Player collusion is something that all players detest, and is a form of cheating whereby two or more players are working together to gain an unfair advantage over other players on a table. We have enlisted the services of a team of experienced Poker players utilizing a sophisticated monitoring system that automatically detects suspicious play patterns in the Poker tables. Players using Playtech's software can be assured that the game includes a sophisticated suite of analysis tools used extensively by the Collusion detection team, and these tools, together with trained observers/surveillance executives working 24/7 will keep cheats where they belong - well away from our games!
Although we will always adopt an 'innocent until proven otherwise' policy, the intricate play-pattern analysis and corresponding game behaviour will create the necessary information needed to arrive at accurate conclusions. Depending upon the seriousness of the overall findings, players may be asked to provide valid explanations for their suspicious behaviour, in more extreme cases, we reserve the right to remove players from the site.
We are absolutely committed to keep cheaters away from our site, so that our players can enjoy their games with us reassured in the knowledge that their play is backed supported by fairness and total integrity. It will be our firm policy to deal in the most determined and severe ways available with any individual or group of individuals who threaten or attempt to affect the game to the detriment of others in this way. Any information gathered about known cheats, colluders or others guilty of fraudulent activity will be distributed to other online gaming sites and, where appropriate to regulators and government authorities in the jurisdiction of the player(s) involved. Innocent players, the victims of such activity, will be treated with sympathetic concern.
What is disconnection protection (DP)?
Disconnection protection protects players if their internet connection is lost during a game. In the event that a player is disconnected, they will be deemed as all-in for the amount they have invested into the pot, and are considered in the hand at the showdown. Disconnection protection is applicable for genuine disconnections only and is only available in ring games and not in tournaments. Any player who misuses this protection by intentionally disconnecting, may:
- Forfeit any money won.
- Lose disconnection protection privileges.
- Face expulsion from the site.
Players must accept the risk of disconnections. They can and do occur.
Note: We do offer tables where the disconnection protection facility is disabled, where players have no disconnection protection at all. These tables are clearly marked in the lobby and all players may choose to play on these tables.

This could be due to many things: modem failure; ISP failure; problem with your PC or a server interruption.
Firewall issues for Windows XP users?
Installation of Service Pack 2 (SP2) for the Windows XP operating system may cause some players to experience problems with their casino games.
The SP2 upgrade includes a built-in firewall. This is a program that restricts unauthorized Internet connections, protecting your computer from viruses and other potentially harmful software. You need to instruct your firewall to allow the downloadable poker client software to connect to the Internet.
The first time you launch the poker application after installing SP2, a dialog box appears asking you if you want to allow this application to connect to the Internet. Click Yes.
From now on, the firewall will consider the poker application a safe program and the Internet connect message will not appear again. If you previously instructed the firewall not to allow the poker client to connect to the Internet, but have now changed your mind, you can add the program to the Exceptions list.
Opening the Windows Firewall Configuration:
- Select: Start > Settings > Control Panel > Windows Firewall > Exceptions tab a list of executable files that the firewall has noticed is displayed.
- Locate the poker client in the list of programs and check the box next to it.
- If you cannot find the executable file of the poker client, click Add Program. A dialog box opens with a list of all programs installed on your computer.
- Select the poker client, or click Browse to find the executable file – which by default should be located in the folder C:\Poker\Poker name. If you manually chose a different location during the installation, locate the executable file.
- Click OK to close the Add a Program dialog box and again to close the Windows Firewall dialog box.
Having download problems?
- Check the settings of 3rd party software such as a firewall or anti-virus.
- Make sure that the anti-virus has been set to scan Internet Temporary Files or Downloaded Programs Files, or that the computer firewall has been temporarily disabled or settings have been changed.
- Check and change settings:
- Open the Internet Explorer browser > Internet Options.
- Select: Security Tab > Internet > Custom level and then reset it to Medium.
- Click OK twice. This should fix the errors, if you still experience the errors we suggest that you email a screenshot of the problem.
Cannot contact the gaming server?
Poker software requires a stable connection to run and sometimes downloading the files and components of the poker software may take up so much of your computer's network resources that a connection with our game server cannot be established. This is even more common if you are using a modem internet connection. This is when you receive the error message 'Cannot contact gaming server'.
In this case, leave the poker software running at the login screen. You will probably notice the text 'Downloading poker components in the background...' on the poker window header (if you are in full screen mode the text cannot be seen). You should leave the poker software running and with your computer online and return when the text has disappeared from the window header (this might take a while, depending on your type of internet connection).
Once the text has disappeared, this means that all the components are now downloaded to your computer and all the network resources are free to log you in. If you fail to log in, try the following:
- Restart your computer and your Internet connection.
- Make sure to close all other software using your internet connection (ex. Messengers, MP3/File Downloader, Internet games etc.) before logging into the software.
- Check if your computer has a personal firewall (e.g. ZoneAlarm or Norton Security) or a corporate firewall (if using a PC at work) that may be preventing the computer from connecting to the game servers. To play on our poker site TCP ports 443 and 'game server ports' must be open for incoming/outgoing traffic. In addition, the login problem may be due to a temporary connection problem between your computer and the game servers. This may be due to temporary issues with your ISP.
- Check your internet connection. Make sure that your connection is stable.
- Make sure that all files needed by the poker software are downloaded completely. This happens when you run your poker software.
- Write down the time and error messages being generated when you will experience the same problem.
- Take a screenshot of the problem.
- Test your internet connection by doing a speed test at www.bandwidthplace.com.
How long is the download process?
Download time will vary depending on the type of internet connection used by your computer.
- If you are using a modem (phone line) connection the download process may take up to a few hours as this type of internet connection is very slow. The poker software may be slow while it is downloading all the components, but once the download is complete this should be resolved.
- If you are using DSL or cable modem (cable line) connection then the download should be quite fast and finish within 10 – 15 minutes. Again, the poker software may be a bit slow while the remaining components are downloaded. This will be resolved once the download is complete.
Incomplete Download?
The following instructions describe how to download and install the Poker software:- Go to our home page. Press the Download button anywhere on the home page. A dialog box opens with different options.
- Click Save. You will be prompted to select where you wish to save the installation file on your computer. By default, the installation file name is SetupPoker.exe.
- Select the location you wish to save the file and click Save. Make sure to remember the exact location where the file is saved. The installation file begins downloading and should be completed within a few minutes.
- Once the installation file has been downloaded another dialog box opens. Click Open to download the poker component files. This should take anywhere from a few minutes up to 20 minutes; depending on your internet connection.
- You will be prompted to either browse, or select a location on your computer to install the poker components. We suggest you keep the default setting and click Install.
- Click I Agree to the License Agreement and the remaining files will be installed. The poker software will now open and you may begin playing.
